We welcome new patients of all ages at our dental office in downtown Seattle’s Denny Triangle. Here’s what to expect as you plan your visit.
Our standard new-patient appointment is around 90 minutes and includes full-mouth X-rays, an evaluation of your teeth and gums to determine the type of cleaning you need, a dental cleaning, and an examination by the doctor. A complimentary 3D scan is also included.
If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card.
Once you request an appointment, we’ll contact you by phone or text to confirm it. The request form does not reserve a time by itself.

Questions before your visit
Your first visit includes an exam and cleaning when routine cleaning is clinically appropriate.
- X-rays are reviewed when due.
- The annual iTero wellness scan has no additional charge; this does not mean the entire visit is free.
- Summit Dental Care and Dr. Hays are in network with Delta Dental, Guardian, Ameritas, Aetna, Principal, and MetLife. We are in the process of adding more insurance plans.

- Paying out of pocket or without insurance? We offer payment plans and will work with you to review treatment costs and payment options that fit your needs and budget.

- We evaluate your teeth and gums first; periodontal therapy may be recommended instead.

Here’s what to bring and how to arrange a transfer of previous records.
- If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card.
- If you have records at another clinic, contact us by email so we can request them from your previous office.
To arrange a record transfer, email our office at [email protected].
- For records at another clinic, we’ll request them from your previous clinic.
- If you request records from Summit Dental Care, we send them by encrypted email.
- Please use email to arrange record transfers; do not send clinical records or insurance details through the appointment request form.
