Preventative dentistry is a clinical term that means getting the dental care you need to maintain good oral health. It is a combination of regular dental exams coupled with good oral hygiene habits. Preventative dentistry is important for everyone, both young and old.

Preventive Dentistry Services Available to You

Preventative dentistry is key to having healthy teeth and gums over a lifetime. We have you covered.

Our part of preventative dentistry looks like providing services to you that are both preventative and proactive for whatever stage of oral health you are at. We provide oral exams, professional teeth cleaning, and routine x-rays. These services are best utilized every six months. In addition, we educate patients during these exams on how to take care of their teeth and gums.

Your Part of Preventative Dentistry

Your role in preventative dentistry happens at home. Good oral hygiene habits are taught in our office, but they are best executed daily at home. Developing good habits early in life can help to reduce dental problems in the later years. We encourage you to brush your teeth twice a day using a soft-bristled toothbrush. Floss your teeth daily as well to remove food lodged between your teeth. Avoid sugary foods and beverages as well as hard foods that could damage your teeth. We advise all our patients to avoid smoking.

Make Your Next Appointment Today
